Anyone still lookin????
OK, so I do realize I've been the worst 'blogger' on earth. I'd apologize, but that would be assuming that my life is so interesting there are atually people out there still trying to keep up on me!
What's new ... really nothing! Jason's busy with school and work, Drew's got football and school, Hannah's got cheerleading and school, Jimbo's coaches football, I coach cheerleading, and the BABIES are fantastic. Eli is so sweet and Riley is so much fun ... always the center of attention. Both of them are trying to walk, although Riley looks like she's had a few too many to drink and Eli has to be sure about each and every step. So stinkin cute though!
I will post some more pics and details soon. Things are slowing down, so I'll be better! Here are a few pics:

Just some more pictures ...
As you can imagine, things are pretty busy. Not much time for anything other than feeding, changing, and holding ... times 2!
Wanted to post the pics from the hospital. I have some more albums almost ready to share. Hopefully it doesn't take me as long to post those.
All in all, things are great! Babies are healthy and we are still ecstatic!

Things are fantastic!
The babies are doing great (besides the sleeping thing) and we are all adjusting pretty well. The twins had a doctors appointment last week (a 1 week appointment) and Eli was back up to his birth weight and Riley had passed hers. The doctor said he was impressed because they normally battle with weight a little with twins, plus they are breastfeeding and that usually means a few weeks to return to birth weight. So, in short, things are going very well with them.
As for me, the recovery hasn't been too bad ... my incision is healing pretty well and I'm getting around normally. Jimbo is still home from work and has been SUCH a big help ... I don't know what I'll do when he's not here!
I'm going to post the pictures from the hospital, but haven't had time to weed through them yet ... I wonder why!

Here's a link to some pictures of the babies after we came home. Just click the picture to go to my album ...

Another day, another visit!
Today's doctor's visit was pretty normal ... non-stress and fluid check. Both looked good, although Eli's heart rate was slightly slower than normal. The doctor said not to worry though ... he's just getting pushed around a little by his sister!
Blood pressure is still good and no weight gain this week.
We discussed the C-section plan again and I told him that the 21st was just NOT going to work for us. If we were to schedule for the 21st, we stand a good chance of coming home on Christmas Eve, and who wants to do that? He said he would discuss doing it a little earlier with the other doctors and figure something out.
Once I got back home I had a message from my normal doctor asking me to call him back to discuss my C-section. I called him back and he informed me that he has me all set-up for a C-section on Tuesday, December 19 at 7:30 in the morning. So now we have a plan!
Of course, there is still a remote chance that I go into labor on my own, but I'm doubtful that will happen. I was up all night last night with contractions ... and that's not the first time. I'm going to attempt to go to bed now ... maybe I'll actually get some sleep tonight!

Yet another visit ...
Today's non-stress test and fluid check were good. Actually, the doctor seems VERY happy with how well the babies are both doing.
Jimbo and I asked to talk to the doctor after the tests, even though we weren't on the doctor's schedule. I told her that basically I feel like crap and want to know what the game plan is for us. She told us that the only way they would do a c-section prior to 39 weeks is if we were to have an amniocentesis to show that both babies lungs are developed enough to breathe on their own. We are both against having an amnio, so that's not an option for us.
With that decision being made, she told us that next week we can schedule our c-section for week 39 ... the earliest day being December 21. We have between now and next week's appointment to decide what day we'd like to do that.
She also told us that they have this discussion with their twin pregnancy patients often, only to find that it's a moot point because most twin pregnancies deliver on their own at 37 weeks.
I feel that with my past history of late deliveries and inductions, combined with the fact that Riley is breech (I don't think she's going to turn), means that I will be delivering these babies by c-section on December 21st or later.
In the meantime, I'll just continue to 'hang in there' the best I can ... but I'll warn you, I'm not happy about it!
